We Are Groot - A Vin Diesel Crossover

This digital painting is a fan-inspired tribute to two of the biggest film franchises, Guardians of the Galaxy and Fast & Furious, specifically celebrating the shared presence of actor Vin Diesel in both. The illustration features his characters, the stoic Dominic Toretto and the lovable tree-creature Groot, standing together against a cosmic backdrop that includes Dom's classic Dodge Charger and the Guardians' ship, the Milano.

My inspiration came from the announcement of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Fast X. I wanted to create a piece that connected these two seemingly disparate worlds through their central shared theme: Family.

The title, "We Are Groot," reflects this connection. It is the only phrase Groot says in the first Guardians film other than "I Am Groot," and I believe in that emotional, self-sacrificial moment, he is expressing "We Are Family." This sentiment deeply mirrors Dominic Toretto's core philosophy, the absolute importance of his crew, his family. This illustration is my personal attempt to honor that powerful bond shared across the multiverse.
